- a riding lawnmower fell out of the back of a pick-up truck immediately ahead of us (on I-95 in Maine) and nearly rolled into us;
- a mini-van one car ahead of us and one lane to the right had its left rear wheel fall off (again on I-95 in Maine) and go rolling across our lane and the left lane, while the van smoked and sparked and skidded into the breakdown lane;
- a car immediately ahead of us (on Route 1 in Massachusetts) rear-ended the car immediately in front of him.
Number of car accidents we actually had: 0
